Watch Riverdale's Sultry Take on 'Anything Goes' | Playbill

Film & TV News Watch Riverdale's Sultry Take on 'Anything Goes' Josie (of Josie and the Pussycats) sings the Cole Porter tune in the October 24 episode of the CW series.

Riverdale continues to bring a musical theatre flair to The CW, offering a seductive take on the title song from Anything Goes in the October 24 episode.

Josie McCoy (played by Ashleigh Murray) performs the Cole Porter standard as part of the grand opening of La Bonne Nuit, Veronica Lodge's speakeasy-style cabaret club. Joining her are two Fosse-esque dancers in silhouette.

The series from Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (book writer of Broadway's American Psycho and Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark) often dips into the musical theatre cannon. In the show's second season, Josie and the Pussycats offered a rendition of Rent's "Out Tonight," and later, the students of Riverdale High put on a production of the musical Carrie (that turned appropriately deadly).
