The cast of Broadway's Once On This Island stopped by Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts' dressing room to discuss the revival of the 1990 musical and to perform the show's closing number, "Why We Tell the Story." Part of GMA's online digital short series Dressing Room Reveal with Robin Roberts, the performance and conversation are all filmed backstage at the GMA studios.

Based on the novella My Love, My Love by Rosa Guy, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty’s Once on This Island officially opened at Broadway's Circle in the Square December 3, 2017. The revival is directed by Tony nominee Michael Arden (Deaf West’s Spring Awakening).
It was recently announced that the production is expected to embark on a national tour Fall 2019.
The cast is led by newcomer Hailey Kilgore as Ti Moune, along with Tamyra Gray, Quentin Earl Darrington, Alex Newell, Lea Salonga, Phillip Boykin, Alysha Deslorieux, David Jennings, kenita R. Miller, and Isaac Powell. At the time this performance was filmed, Norm Lewis was appearing as Agwe. The show's ensemble includes Darlesia Cearcy, Rodrick Covington, Emerson Davis, Tyler Hardwick, Cassondra James, Grasan Kingsberry, Loren Lott, T. Oliver Reid, Aurelia Williams, Mia Williamson, Anthony Wayne, and Ximone Rose.
