News Watch the Trailer for "Cymbeline" Film, Starring Ethan Hawke and Ed Harris A trailer has been released for the Lionsgate film "Cymbeline," which updates the setting of William Shakespeare's classic to the drug gang underworld of the present, and which will arrive in cinemas and on demand March 13 starring Oscar nominees Ethan Hawke and Ed Harris.

Written for the screen and directed by Michael Almereyda, the modern dress adaptation features Hawke (Iachimo), Ed Harris (Cymbeline), Milla Jovovich (The Queen), John Leguizamo (Pisanio), Penn Badgley (Posthumus), Dakota Johnson (Imogen), Anton Yelchin (Cloten), Peter Gerety (Dr. Cornelius), Kevin Corrigan (The Hangman), Vondie Curtis-Hall (Caius Lucius), James Ransone (Philario), Spencer Treat Clark (Guiderius), with Bill Pullman (Sicilius Leonatus) and Delroy Lindo (Belarius).

"Cymbeline" is produced by Michael Benaroya, Anthony Katagas and Michael Almereyda with executive producers Ben Sachs, Clayton Young, Seth Renshaw, Barry Brooker and Stan Wertlieb; co-producers are Andrew Fierberg, Ashley Bearden and Charles Miller.

"Academy Award nominees Ethan Hawke (Best Supporting Actor, 'Boyhood,' 2014) and Ed Harris (Best Actor, 'Pollock,' 2000) lead a powerhouse cast including Milla Jovovich, John Leguizamo, Penn Badgley, Dakota Johnson and Anton Yelchin, with Bill Pullman and Delroy Lindo in a gritty story of a take-no-prisoners war between dirty cops and an outlaw biker gang," according to production notes. "When extortion, betrayal, and fiery passions threaten his criminal empire, a drug kingpin (Harris) is driven to desperate measures in this explosive, modern retelling of Shakespeare’s timeless play."
