The Netflix film, which will premiere on the streaming service October 26, follows Simone (Chewing Gum's Michaela Coel), a dedicated single mother who, on a rare night on the town, is charmed by a handsome yet troubled stranger, Raymond (Arinzé Kene), igniting old and new feelings.

Directed by Tinge Krishnan, the film is based on the musical by Arthur Darvill (Doctor Who, Once) and Ché Walker that debuted at London's Young Vic in 2009. The musical was based on a 1998 play of the same name.
