The episode was directed by Tate Donovan, who is currently appearing on Broadway in Good People, and featured cast regular and Spring Awakening vet Jenna Ushkowitz's rendition of "My Funny Valentine" from the musical Babes in Arms. Other songs featured in the episode include "Fat Bottomed Girls," "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)," "When I Get You Alone," "Firework" and "Silly Love Songs."
