Video WATCH: What Was Bebe Neuwirth’s Favorite Role in Theatre? The Tony- and Emmy-winning actor reflects on her career in our new video series, Act 2…Now What?! with Brenda Braxton.

“Each job I have, I like to feel like that’s my favorite at the time. That helps me to maintain my integrity as a performing artist,” Bebe Neuwirth tells Brenda Braxton in this up-close exclusive interview.

Neuwirth goes on to say that A Chorus Line is her favorite because it was her first professional job and her introduction to Michael Bennett, and Sweet Charity is her favorite because she loves that role and she got to work with Bob Fosse.

A two-time Tony Award winner for her portrayals of Nickie in Sweet Charity and Velma Kelly in Chicago, Neuwirth is also a two-time Emmy winner for her work as Lilith on the long-running television series Cheers. But Neuwirth is known as a dancer, both for her impeccable skill and her founding of The Dancer’s Resource through The Actors Fund. Neuwirth currently stars as Nadine Tolliver on CBS’ Madam Secretary.

In celebration of women’s history month, Playbill launched Act 2…Now What?! in March with an interview with two-time Tony Award winner and groundbreaker Chita Rivera. Tony nominee Braxton continues the conversation about women in the business over 50 and how they stay fierce and thriving in their second act.
