The interview will air on WCBS news on Jan. 3, 2011, at 11 PM ET.

When asked why Tyler was chosen for the interview, Spider-Man spokesperson Rick Miramontez stated, "Dana Tyler is a reporter who has had a longtime commitment to Broadway, and to telling the stories of Broadway and its people. Michael (Cohl), Christopher (Tierney) and the Spider-Man team felt she should be the first person to help tell Christopher's extraordinary story."

Tim Tierney, Christopher Tierney's father, told the Associated Press that his son is no longer in the intensive care unit at Bellevue Hospital. In fact, he has been discharged from the hospital to a rehabilitation facility in New York City.

The actor, who fell 30 feet at the Foxwoods Theatre, was able to walk Dec. 28 with the aid of a full-torso brace, according to his father.

Christopher Tierney's injuries, AP previously stated, include a "hairline skull fracture, four broken ribs, a bruised lung, internal bleeding and cracks in three lumbar vertebrae."

Spider-Man marks the Broadway debut for the young performer, who was a featured actor and dancer in "Across the Universe," which was also directed by Spider's Julie Taymor. He has also worked with the dance companies Hubbard Street, Ballet Jazz du Montreal and Houston Ballet, and his other stage credits include the Toronto production of Dirty Dancing and the national tour of Moving Out. In his Playbill bio for Spider-Man, Tierney says, "All his love and gratitude to his family."
