Hugh Jackman sent the already excited theatre world into a tizzy with the announcement that he’d be playing P.T. Barnum in a new movie musical based on the famous showman’s life. Lest we forget that Mr. Jackman got his start in musical theatre! I unearthed some of these gems to remind us of the fabulousness that is Mr.Jackman's voice.

In 1998, Jackman starred in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! for the Royal National Theatre’s production of the musical. The production was directed by Trevor Nunn and choreographed by Susan Stroman.

Before Oklahoma!, he starred in another Trevor Nunn directed show--the down-under version of Sunset Boulevard.

And of course, who can forget his Tony Award winning performance in The Boy From Oz?
