SEATTLE -- Versatile Seattle actress Lauren Weedman is L.A. bound, but not before one final hurrah in the latest of her one-woman solo shows. Huu opens a five-performance run on Jan. 15 at the Annex Theatre.
Weedman, who scored last year at The Empty Space as the outspoken folk singer who assays the role of Cathy in Wuthering!Heights!The!Musical!, is a veteran of several solo shows that showcase her acting and choreographic skills.
"Huu" is an ancient name for God, and Weedman's play is an autobiographical look at her search for meaning in life.
There is a "pay what you will" preview Jan. 14 at 8 PM. Performances are Jan. 15-17 at 8 PM and Jan. 18 at 7 PM at Annex Theatre, 1914 4th Ave. In Downtown Seattle. For tickets, $10, call (206) 728-0933.
