The NYPD and the Times Square Business Improvement District have issued the following traffic alert for the Veteran's Day Parade and weekend.

On Sat., Nov. 11 from 9 AM - 2 PM:

The following streets will be closed for the Veteran's Day Parade.

• 43 St. to 49 St. between Sixth Ave. and

Madison Ave. (Formation area) • Fifth Ave. at 42 St. (Start)

• Fifth Ave. between E. 42 St. and E. 79 St. (Route)

• E. 79 St. between Fifth Ave. and Third Ave. (Route) • E. 79. St. between Madison Ave. and Third Ave. (End). On Sat. and/or Sun. from 8 AM - 6 PM:

• W. 40 St. between Broadway and Sixth Ave. will be closed during crane operations but local and emergency traffic will be maintained.

One lane in each direction will be maintained from 6 AM Sat. - 6 AM Mon. during crane operations on:

• W. 42 St. between Seventh Ave. and Eighth Ave. • W. 48 St. between Broadway and Sixth Ave. • W. 50 St. between Sixth Ave. and Seventh Ave. Local and emergency traffic will be maintained at all times.
