News We're Kind of a Big Deal, Featuring Wicked and Rent Stars, Plays the Beechman March 2 "What do you get when two Elphabas, a Mimi and Maureen enter the room?" ask press notes for the new cabaret show, We're Kind of a Big Deal . . . in Japan, which plays the Laurie Beechman Theatre March 2.

The 9:30 PM performance features the talents of Kathleen Hennessey (Wicked, Beehive), Lara Janine (Rock of Ages, Wicked), Jennifer Colby Talton (Rent, Hair) and Christine Dwyer (Rent, New Hopeville Comics). Katie Thompson is the musical director for the evening, which features songs by Lady Gaga, Thompson & Mann, Michael Mahler, Kerrigan & Lowdermilk, En Vogue, Sara Barrielles, Etta James and music director Thompson. Cabaretgoers can also expect "self-deprecating humor and unique spins on popular songs."

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located within the West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd Street at Ninth Avenue. There is a $10 cover charge and a food-beverage minimum; call (212) 695-6909 for reservations.
