News We're Kind of a Big Deal, Featuring Wicked and Rent Stars, to Play the Beechman "What do you get when two Elphabas, a Mimi and Maureen enter the room?" ask press notes for the new cabaret show, We're Kind of a Big Deal . . . in Japan, which will play the Laurie Beechman Theatre next month.

The March 2 performance will feature the talents of Kathleen Hennessey (Wicked, Beehive), Lara Janine (Rock of Ages, Wicked), Jennifer Colby Talton (Rent, Hair) and Christine Dwyer (Rent, New Hopeville Comics). Show time is 9:30 PM.

Katie Thompson will be the musical director for the evening, which will feature songs by Lady Gaga, Thompson & Mann, Michael Mahler, Kerrigan & Lowdermilk, En Vogue, Sara Barrielles, Etta James and music director Thompson. Cabaretgoers can also expect "self-deprecating humor and unique spins on popular songs."

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located within the West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd Street at Ninth Avenue. There is a $10 cover charge and a food-beverage minimum; call (212) 695-6909 for reservations.
