News West End Residency for Royal Court at Duke of York's to Continue with Transfer of Nick Payne's Constellations The Royal Court's current residency at the West End's Duke of York's will continue with a transfer of Nick Payne's Constellations, to begin performances Nov. 9 prior to an official opening Nov. 16, for a run through Jan. 5, 2013.

The original cast of Sally Hawkins and Rafe Spall will return to reprise their performances as Marianne and Roland, respectively, under Michael Longhurst's direction, in a play that is described as being as about free will and friendship, seen through shards of infinite possibility. It was first produced at the Royal Court's Jerwood Upstairs Theatre in January 2012 as part of the Royal Court's Jerwood New Playwrights program, supported by the Jerwood Charitable Foundation.

The Royal Court's season at the Duke of York's comprises Laura Wade's Posh, running there now through Aug. 4, to be followed by April de Angelis's Jumpy, running Aug. 16-Nov. 3.

In a press statement, Royal Court artistic director Dominic Cooke commented, "When Nick Payne’s exceptional play Constellations came to us in autumn last year, I knew it was something special. We quickly rearranged our season to squeeze in a four week slot in our tiny 90-seater studio in January. It’s exactly the kind of play that the Royal Court was made for – it's formally exciting with an emotional boldness that dazzled audiences and resulted in an unprecedented demand for tickets. Transferring plays from the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs is always a balancing act. We want as many people as possible to see our work but need to retain the intimacy of the smaller theatre, so it is fantastic to work with ATG to achieve this at the Duke of York's in a superb addition to our Royal Court West End season."

Hawkins has previously appeared at the Royal Court in The Winterling and Country Music. Other appearances include The House of Bernarda Alba at the National and Mrs. Warren's Profession at Broadway's American Airlines Theatre, produced by Roundabout. Film credits include Mike Leigh's "Happy-Go-Lucky," for which she won several international awards including a Golden Globe for Best Actress.

Rafe Spall has previously appeared at the Royal Court in DC Moore's Alaska. Other theatre credits include Nick Payne's If There Is I Haven't Found It Yet at the Bush and John Gabriel Borkman at the Donmar Warehouse. He is currently filming "I Give It A Year" for Working Title/Studio Canal. On TV he stars in Channel 4's "Pete Versus Life."
