News West End Run of Once the Musical Will Close Prior to European Tour The Tony and Olivier Award-winning musical Once has announced that it will complete its West End run March 21, 2015, at the Phoenix Theatre, following Ronan Keating's stint in the show; he begins performances Nov. 17, prior to an official opening Nov. 25.

Following its West End run, the producers have announced that a European tour is planned. The show originally opened at the Phoenix Theatre April 9, 2013, following previews that began March 16. The original cast was led by Declan Bennett and Zrinka Cvitešić. Jill Winternitz, who is currently playing Girl, will continue in the role when Keating joins.

The original Broadway production continues at the Bernard B Jacobs Theatre through Jan. 4, 2015, where it will have run for over three years. The U.S tour, now in its second year, continues and later this month will make a visit to Japan. A Toronto production will open in February next year. The Australian production has just opened in Melbourne, and the first non-English-language production will open in Seoul, South Korea, in December 2015. Also in development are productions in Sweden, Brazil, Holland, Greece, The Czech Republic, Thailand, Ireland, along with a Japanese-language production.
