The Sound of Musicals, a concert evening featuring a set list of songs from shows that include Jesus Christ Superstar, Sunset Boulevard, Chess, Oliver!, Les Misérables, Jersey Boys, Evita, My Fair Lady and Chicago, is to be presented at concert halls in Birmingham, Manchester and London in May.
The line-up will see Samantha Barks (Epinone in the film version of Les Misérables, who has also played the role in the West End), Tim Howar (the Rod Stewart musical Tonight’s the Night), Oliver Tompsett (Wicked, Guys and Dolls), and Hannah Waddingham (Kiss Me Kate, A Little Night Music, Grease) accompanied by the London Concert Orchestra, under the baton of Richard Balcombe.
It will be performed at Birmingham's Symphony Hall May 11, Manchester's Bridgewater Hall May 12, and London's Royal Festival Hall May 13.
