Mamma Mia! will take its set, cast with it to the Prince of Wales Theatre in 2004, after the Prince of Wales has been refurbished, according to press reports today.
Mamma Mia!'s move from the Prince Edward to the Prince of Wales (both theatres owned by Sir Cameron Mackintosh) is to accommodate the arrival of The Producers from New York.
The Producers has been an enormous hit in New York as has Mamma Mia!, and soon Londoners, like New Yorkers, will be able to see both shows without crossing the Atlantic.
Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick are expected to repeat their performances in the lead roles of Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom. Susan Stroman will again direct and choreograph.
