News West End's We Will Rock You to Rock On with New Leads We Will Rock You, which recently celebrated its 10th birthday in the West End and is to reach its 4,000th performance Sept. 20, will welcome a new pair of lead performers: Oliver Tompsett and Rachael Wooding will take over as Galileo and Scaramouche, respectively, beginning performances Oct. 8.

They replace Noel Sullivan and Lauren Samuels, respectively.

Tompsett originated the role of Drew in Rock of Ages and has also been seen in the West End in Our House, Mamma Mia! and Wicked. Wooding returns to We Will Rock You, having previously played Meat in 2006-07. She was seen most recently in the West End in Jersey Boys and on tour in the title role of Evita. Other credits include Fame, Saturday Night Fever and Hairspray.

In a press statement, Queen's Brian May commented, "We're very excited to welcome our two new leading stars to We Will Rock You. We had had our eye on Olly Tompsett for a while, always thinking he would make a great Galileo.  It turns out he had had his eye on us too! Rachael Wooding is, of course, an old and respected friend and was great in the role of Meat.  We had always hoped that she would return one day and take on Scara.  When we saw her this time we immediately realised this was the moment.   Oliver and Rachael will be an explosive combination."

They join long-running cast members Kevin Kennedy (Pop), Brenda Edwards (Killer Queen), Rachel John (Meat), Wayne Robinson (Britney) and Alisdair Harvey (Khashoggi), who continue in their roles.
