The film series, which is hosted by Tony Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights), also features an interview with Tony and Academy Award winner Rita Moreno, who starred as Anita in the film.

Miranda will introduce the film and chat with veteran singing actress Moreno. The stage show begins at 5 PM, prior to the 5:30 PM screening.

Miranda spoke with Playbill.com about his love for the film and the new film series at the United Palace. Read it here.

Presented by The Broadway League's Viva Broadway and the United Palace of Cultural Arts, this second installment of "Sunday Movies at the Palace with Lin-Manuel Miranda" screens the film adaptation of the 1957 Broadway musical, which features a score by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim and a book by Arthur Laurents. The film was directed and choreographed by Jerome Robbins.

The theatre, which was originally called the Loew's 175th Street Theatre when it opened in 1930, has not screened films in more than 40 years. The "Sunday at the Palace" series follows the fundraising campaign "Return Film to the Palace," which raised close to $50,000. A monthly screening of classic New York City films, chosen by Miranda, plays through June. Miranda hosts the screenings joined by special guests.

Miranda penned and starred in the musical In the Heights, which received the 2008 Tony Award for Best Musical, as well as Best Orchestrations and Choreography. He contributed translations for the 2009 revival of West Side Story and wrote music and lyrics for Bring It On: The Musical. Miranda also collaborated with Tom Kitt on the opening song for the 67th Annual Tony Awards.

Guests in tuxedos or gowns receive a free bag of popcorn at the concession stand.

Moreno's stage credits include The Ritz, Wally's Cafe and The Odd Couple. Her TV work includes "The Golden Girls," "Ugly Betty" and "Oz," and her film work includes "Rio 2," "Playing It by Ear" and "The Ritz." She received an Emmy Award for her work on "The Rockford Files" and a Grammy Award for "The Electric Company Album."
