Set to face off with the man-eating plant from outer space are Eric Santagata (Roundabout's The Apple Tree) as Seymour and Julie Connors (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Never Gonna Dance) as the lovably vacuous Audrey. Puppeteer and Audrey II designer Bill Diamond will inhabit the giant plant, while Terri White (Barnum, Ain't Misbehavin') will lend her signature voice. Bob Arnold portrays Mr. Mushnik, with Gary Lynch (Les Miserables) as the dentist. Rounding out the cast are girl-group singers Kimberly Hamby, Talana Deshaies and Jalynn Steele. David Patrick Ford, Joel Briel and Molly Mastrangelo complete the skid-row ensemble.
The creative team for Little Shop of Horrors includes set design by George Puello and Steve Loftus, costumes by Gail Baldoni, lighting design by Andrew Gmoser and sound design by Jonathan Hatton.
Running Aug. 9-Sept. 29 Little Shop of Horrors is directed and choreographed by Patricia Wilcox, who also choreographed Aida for Westchester audiences.
Little Shop of Horrors is based on the 1960 cult movie "The Little Shop of Horrors." The musical version, with music by Alan Menken and book and lyrics by the late Howard Ashman, debuted Off-Broadway at WPA Theatre in 1982 starring Lee Wilkoff and Ellen Greene in a role that would become her signature.
