Playbill Travel has once again lined up a stellar cast for its Broadway on the Rhine River Cruise, setting sail August 13–20. While guests tour the incomparable European countryside daily—from world-class museums in Switzerland to Gothic cathedrals in Germany, from majestic castles to the dazzling “Venice of the North”—they will enjoy full-length cabaret shows by our star performers by night. Not to mention, passengers enjoy the singular opportunity to get to know the stars as they float down the Rhine River together, sharing meals and memories.
Two-time Tony winner Faith Prince, best known for her Adelaide opposite Nathan Lane’s Nathan Detroit in Guys & Dolls, will be aboard. Most recently on Broadway in Seth Rudetsky’s Disaster!, Prince’s voice and humor are like none other. Just take a look at her performance of "Adelaide’s Lament" during the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS after-show fundraiser at Disaster!:
A Tony nominee for Cinderella and Drama Desk winner for Brighton Beach Memoirs, Santino Fontana’s sweet and effortless sound will charm audiences during his intimate solo show. If you don’t recall his performance in the Broadway production of the Rodgers and Hammerstein fairy tale, watch his performance of selections from his Prince Charming days below:
The magnetic Andréa Burns joins Playbill Travel for her first river-bound voyage. Having made her Broadway debut in Beauty and the Beast and most recently playing Gloria Fajardo in Broadway’s On Your Feet!, Burns boasts an envious repertoire. Expect to hear songs from her impressive career during her concert aboard the ship:
A three-time Tony nominee, Terrence Mann has created some of Broadway’s most iconic roles (yes, that’s his voice on your original cast recordings), including Javert in Les Misérables, Rum Tum Tugger in Cats, the Beast in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Mal Beineke in The Addams Family, and the Man in the Yellow Suit in Tuck Everlasting. He has also appeared as Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Show, Charles Frohmann/Captain Hook in Finding Neverland, in Jerome Robbins’ Broadway with Prince, and in Pippin alongside his wife, Charlotte d’Amboise. If you need a reminder of Mann’s incredible talents, fast forward to 3:30 to hear his ballad from Beauty and the Beast:
Charlotte d’Amboise is a star in her own right. In addition to her most recent Broadway appearance in Pippin, d’Amboise is a two-time Tony nominee for A Chorus Line and Jerome Robbins’ Broadway. She’ll be wowing the crowds with her talent and stories during her Playbill Travel set. And if you missed her performance in the revival of A Chorus Line, watch below:
Led by Playbill columnist and SiriusXM host Seth Rudetsky, the evening solo shows (and his Chatterbox interviews full of hilarious, never-before-heard backstage stories from these stars) will make this vacation one for the ages!
