See what the Miss Saigon star had to say about her nomination for Best Actress in a Musical.

On May 2 Eva Noblezada received the phone call of a lifetime. The star of Miss Saigon learned that her performance as Kim—her Broadway debut—had earned her a Tony Award nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical.

We caught up with Noblezada, who is nominated alongside Broadway vets Christine Ebersole (War Paint), Patti LuPone (War Paint), and Bette Midler (Hello, Dolly!), as well as Denée Benton, who is also making her Broadway debut in Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812. Watch the interview in the video above to see what she did when she heard the news.

The American Theatre Wing’s 71st Annual Tony Awards, hosted by Tony and Academy Award-winning actor Kevin Spacey, will air live from Radio City Music Hall on the CBS Television Network June 11 beginning at 8 PM ET.
