News Where's the Loading Dock? League Launches StageSpecs.org Theatre professionals, do you need to know how big your stage will be in Denver? Where the loading dock is in Milwaukee? How many dressing rooms are in the Lyceum?

The answers are on www.StageSpecs.org, the on-line version of "Stage Specs, A Technical Guide to Theatres." The site was recently launched by the League of American Theatres and Producers. It details the dimensions, capacities and physical trappings of 300 theatres across the United States and Canada.

Each venue is described in terms of stage dimensions; stage house specifications; electrical and sound facilities; rigging specs; seating capacity; loading dock; dressing rooms; house and road consoles; road service power; theatre name; address; and phone numbers for administrative and technical personnel.

Such information doesn't come cheap. Through Feb. 1, subscriptions can be had for $125 a year. After Feb. 2, it goes up to $175. Yearly renewals are $75 a year. League members can buy in at the lesser rate of $75 before through Feb. 1; $125 thereafter; $renewals at $50.

Order forms may be downloaded at www.LiveBroadway.com.

The hard copy version of Stage Specs was typically revised every five years.
