Sister Act producer Whoopi Goldberg hosts the evening, which is to be attended by President Obama. The President is also scheduled to speak following the performance. The fundraiser is a benefit for the Obama Victory Fund.
The Obama family has been a supporter of Broadway over the past three years, with family visits to Joe Turner's Come and Gone, Memphis and The Addams Family. The Obamas also hosted "A Broadway Celebration: In Performance at the White House," which aired on PBS last October.
Sister Act opened on Broadway April 20 under the direction of Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks (Guys and Dolls, The Addams Family).
