But if you happen to also read national news, you probably know all about the political battle in Wisconsin right now.

The battle in WI has made headlines for the past three weeks when newly elected governor Scott Walker sought to pass budget legislation that would require teachers and other public employees (except firefighters and police) to pay additional funds into their healthcare and pension plans as the state faces a $137 million gap in the budget. The legislation also aims to curtail collective bargaining rights for unions in the state.

Democratic state senators went into hiding in order to delay a vote on the measure and hundreds of individuals have packed the Capitol building in Madison to voice their displeasure with the proposed bill.

In a latest turn of events, a group of musical folk, some dressed as French revolutionaries, brought in instruments and performed "Do You Hear the People Sing?" — the rallying cry from the international hit musical Les Miserables.
