News Wicked's Bean Replaces Noll as New Voices Host Recent Wicked star Shoshana Bean will host the upcoming Monday Nights, New Voices concert at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.

Bean replaces the previously announced Christiane Noll, who is on vocal rest.

The July 17 concert will boast the talents of Elissa Goldstein, Jaclyn Huberman, Ritchie Portela, Lauren Lebowitz and Sarah-Blair Irwin. Show time is 7 PM.

Produced by Scott Alan, the evening will feature musical direction by Barbara Anselmi. The works of composers Alan, Anselmi, Joe Iconis and Jim Colleran will be featured during the concert of New Voices, which spotlights "lesser-known talents working in New York.” This will be the final New Voices concert until further notice.

Shoshana Bean, who recently starred as Elphaba in Broadway's Wicked, played Shelley in the original cast of the Tony-winning musical Hairspray. Originally from Portland, Oregon, Bean attended the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music before heading to NYC. She was first cast in the Off-Broadway production of Godspell and then in the national tour of Leader of the Pack. Bean was also seen in the all-star Hair benefit concert. The singer-actress is currently working on her debut solo album for Pure Records and will play three stops on the Wicked tour beginning Sept. 6 at Portland's Keller Auditorium.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located in Manhattan at 407 West 42nd Street at Ninth Avenue. There is a $10 cover charge and a $15 food/drink minimum. Call (212) 695-6909 for reservations between the hours of noon and 8 PM.
