Bean starred in the smash Broadway hit Wicked, playing Elphaba after Tony Award winner Idina Menzel exited the role. She also played the green witch on tour. She was also part of the original Broadway company of Hairspray. She recently released her debut solo album, "Superhero." Tony Award-winning Broadway composer Brown, who was recently represented on Broadway by the new musical 13, and is a respected musician, won the Tony Award for Best Score for the musical Parade.
