The 7 PM concert spotlights the songs of Brian Lowdermilk and Kait Kerrigan. Composer Lowdermilk will be on hand to accompany singers on selections from his and Kerrigan's songbook. Those scheduled to perform include Shauna Goodgold, Josh Howell, Melissa Lyons, John Myers and Sarah Statler.
Barbara Anselmi is the evening's musical director and will also be featured on the piano.
The New Voices series was founded by composer Scott Alan to "showcase some of today's brightest new talent in New York." Alan's debut recording, "Dreaming Wide Awake" — which features performances by Liz Callaway, Stephanie J. Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk are the authors of Henry and Mudge, The Freshman Experiment, Wrong Number, The Woman Upstairs, The Unauthorized Autobiography of Samantha Brown and Tales from the Bad Years. She played that role for a year in the Chicago production of Wicked and also starred in the Toronto engagement of the hit musical. Off-Broadway the singer-actress was seen in Boobs! The Musical, and her regional credits include john and jen and Into the Woods. A graduate of the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, Cates also took part in an evening of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Unexpected Songs at Joe's Pub.
