News Wicked's Espinosa, Fitzgerald and Maguire to Go "Behind the Emerald Curtain" Gregory Maguire, whose novel "Wicked" was the inspiration for the hit musical of the same name, and former Wicked stars Eden Espinosa and Christopher Fitzgerald will take part in "Behind the Emerald Curtain," the backstage tour of the Broadway musical.

The 90-minute tour offers a behind-the-scenes look at the hit musical. Run by current and former Wicked cast members, the tour features a 20-minute film of special footage from the musical, interviews with cast and creative team members, as well as a display of Eugene Lee's Tony-Award-winning set, an up-close look at some of Tony Award winner Susan Hilferty's costumes and props, wigs and masks from the show.

Eden Espinosa, who starred as Elphaba in the Broadway and Los Angeles runs of the musical, will take part in "Emerald Curtain" Sept. 27, while original Wicked cast member Christopher Fitzgerald (Boq) will be on hand Oct. 11. On Oct. 25, the "Emerald" tour will welcome author Maguire, who penned the best-selling "Wicked" novel.

Wicked currently stars Kendra Kassebaum as Glinda, Kerry Ellis as Elphaba, Cristy Candler as Nessarose, Ben Liebert as Boq, Jayne Houdyshell as Madame Morrible, Steven Skybell as Doctor Dillamond, Aaron Tveit as Fiyero and P.J. Benjamin as The Wizard.

Wicked features a score by Stephen Schwartz, a book by Winnie Holzman, direction by Joe Mantello and musical staging by Wayne Cilento. The production also includes scenic design by Eugene Lee, costume design by Susan Hilferty, lighting design by Kenneth Posner, sound design by Tony Meola, projections by Elaine J. McCarthy, wig and hair design by Tom Watson, music supervision and arrangements by Stephen Oremus, orchestrations by William David Brohn and dance arrangements by James Lynn Abbott. Wicked's "Behind the Emerald Curtain" tours are held Saturdays at 10 AM at the Gershwin Theatre. Tickets, priced $25, are available by visiting Ticketmaster, or at the Gershwin Theatre box office.
