News Wicked's Hilferty One of Several Theatre Triple-Crown Winners Susan Hilferty has done what Smarty Jones could not. She is a triple-crown winner for the theatre season just ended.

Hilferty, who designed the costumes for the hit musical Wicked, nabbed the Outer Critics Circle Award, the Drama Desk Award and the Tony Award for her work. Hilferty's competition for the Outer Critics prize included Jess Goldstein (Henry IV), Mike Nicholls and Bobby Pearce (Taboo) and Catherine Zuber (Intimate Apparel); her Drama Desk competitors were Jess Goldstein (Henry IV), Richard A. Prior and Lisa Leighton (Ramayana 2K3), Jenny Mannis (Animal Farm), Mark Thompson (Bombay Dreams) and Catherine Zuber (Intimate Apparel); and she won the Tony in a field that included Jess Goldstein (Henry IV), Mike Nicholls and Bobby Pearce (Taboo) and Mark Thompson (Bombay Dreams).

Other triple-crown winners of the season include I Am My Own Wife (Best Play), Henry IV (Outstanding Revival of a Play), Hugh Jackman (Best Actor in a Musical), Audra McDonald (Best Featured Actress in a Play), Jack O'Brien (Best Director of a Play for Henry IV), Kathleen Marshall (Best Choreography for Wonderful Town), Eugene Lee (Best Set Design for Wicked) and Jules Fisher and Peggy Eisenhauer (Best Lighting Design for Assassins).
