Tony Awards Wicked's Menzel to Present on 2005 Tonys Idina Menzel, who won a Tony Award last season for her performance as Elphaba in Stephen Schwartz's Wicked, will be among the celebrity presenters at the 2005 Tony Awards.

The actress, who will also appear in the May 18 episode of the UPN series "Kevin Hill," announced the news on her official website. Menzel will also be seen in the upcoming screen adaptation of Rent, reprising her stage role as Maureen. That film is set to hit theatres in November. Idina Menzel won a Tony Award for Leading Actress in a Musical for her work as Elphaba in Wicked. She created the role of Maureen in the original Broadway company of Rent, and her other theatrical credits include the City Center Encores! production of Hair, the Manhattan Theatre Club The Wild Party and the benefit Funny Girl concert. Menzel also recently completed filming the new motion picture "Ask the Dust."
