A source told the paper, "Alicia's desperate to be cast alongside Kevin Spacey." Silverstone, whose films include "Clueless," "The Crush," "Batman and Robin" and "Blast From the Past," played the role of Karen earlier this year in the Geffen Playhouse, Los Angeles production of Mamet's Hollywood satire. In the New York 1988 world premiere, Madonna originated the role.

For the Old Vic version, Spacey will play the role of Bobby Gould. No further casting for the three-hander has been announced.
