Clubbed Thumb's encore run of Will Arbery’s PLANO officially opens at the Connelly Theatre Off-Broadway April 13. Originally staged last year as part of the company's annual Summerworks festival, the play returns—due to popular demand—for a limited run featuring the entire original cast.

In PLANO, directed by Taylor Reynolds, three sisters are stricken with a series of strange plagues: Isabel’s got pains. Anne’s got slugs. And, Genevieve doesn't want to talk about hers. A play about family nightmares. Or memories?

“My play is about three sisters on a porch in Dallas, dealing with a series of hauntings which are linked to the male presences in their lives,” Arbery told Playbill last summer. “It's about time moving so fast you don't have time to think. And dying while you're still alive. And not being able to help the people you love.”

The cast is made up of Crystal Finn (Bobby Clearly, Kingdom Come), Susannah Flood (For The People, The Effect), Miriam Silverman (Junk, You Got Older), Cesar Rosado (Seven Spots on the Sun), Ryan King (Deathbed), Brendan Dalton (Intuitive Men), and Mary Shultz (Small Tragedy, Clubbed Thumb’s Dot).

Performances began April 8 and are scheduled through May 11. Click here for tickets.

Arbery's plays include Evanston Salt Costs Climbing (New Neighborhood) and Wheelchair (3 Hole Press). He’s under commission from Playwrights Horizons, a member of Page 73's Interstate 73, The Working Farm at SPACE on Ryder Farm, a resident at Colt Coeur, and a member of EST/Youngblood.

Clubbed Thumb is the Obie-winning theatre company behind Heidi Schreck’s Broadway play What the Constitution Means to Me, which premiered at the 2017 Summerworks festival, in partnership with True Love Productions.

PLANO features set design by Daniel Zimmerman, costume design by Stephanie Levin, lighting design by Isabella Byrd, sound design by Tyler Keiffer, and choreography by Kelly Bartnik. Corinn Moreno is the stage manager.
