Following the announcement that the long-running West End production of We Will Rock You will end its 12-year run May 31, The Daily Mail reported that Motown will move into the Dominion Theatre.

A spokesperson for the Broadway production, however, told Playbill.com, "The Broadway producers of Motown the Musical are thrilled that there is so much interest in the show going to London’s West End. There is an exploration of setting up a London company, but it is too early to confirm a theatre or when the show will open. Currently, the Motown team is focused on the US national tour."

The national tour of Motown begins performances at the Oriental Theatre in Chicago April 22.

The Tony-nominated musical, featuring music by Smokey Robinson and The Miracles, Diana Ross and The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, Michael Jackson and The Jackson Five, opened at Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre April 14, 2013.

According to producers, "Motown tells the gripping story behind the hits as Smokey finds his unique voice, Diana skyrockets to stardom and Berry fights against the odds to turn his improbable dream into a triumphant reality. The music that shattered barriers and shaped our lives finally comes to the Broadway stage in the season's most highly anticipated world-premiere event."
