Feinstein’s/54 Below, the supper club located below Manhattan's Studio 54, features the following events of interest to theatre folk the week of December 7–14:
December 7 and 8: Storm Large: Holiday Ordeal
The cabaret performer who claims to be able to sing in 17 different languages returns to the club with a holiday show that promises “a night of music, gags, gifts and some very special guests,” with a playlist that includes “2000 Miles,” “Hallelujah,” “Sock It to Me Santa,” and “Somebody to Love.” Two shows at 7 PM both nights.
December 7: Vivian Reed Sings Lena Horne
The veteran of five Broadway musicals, including Michael John LaChiusa’s Marie Christine, celebrates the music of stage and screen legend Lena Horne to mark the 100th anniversary of her birth in the latest in a monthly series of concerts. 9:30 PM Click here for details.
December 8: Alex Syiek & Friends: Hella Crazee Holidayzee
Alex Syiek, composer of Off-Broadway’s The Pokémusical, returns with a new extravaganza that sends up a whole year’s worth of holidays, performed by Malik Akil, Liz Barnett, James Penca, Keri Rene, Colton Ryan, Amanda Savan, Kyle Selig, and Shannon Tyo. 9:30 PM
December 8: The Late Comet: Courtney Bassett and Starbird & The Phoenix

December 9: The Songs of Josh Freilich and Kate Chadwick

December 9: Lindsay Mendez and Ryan Scott Oliver’s Actor Therapy
Composer-lyricist Ryan Scott Oliver (35mm, Darling) and Broadway actor Lindsay Mendez (Significant Other, Wicked, Dogfight, Godspell) host a master class for performers looking to “improve their auditions, build a better book, and expand their understanding of what it means to be an actor and song interpreter in New York today.” 11:30 PM
December 10: The Story of My Life Reunion Concert
Will Chase and Malcolm Gets perform the Neil Bartram score from the two-character Broadway musical about a lifelong friendship—which lasted only five performances in 2009. 7 PM. Click here for details.
December 10: A Swingin’ Christmas with Eric Petersen

December 11: David Yazbek with special guest Katrina Lenk
Composer-lyricist of the fall hit The Band’s Visit (along with The Full Monty, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown) showcases some of his old, new, and upcoming songs with the help of The Band’s Visit's charismatic leading lady. 7 PM
December 11: Chris Dwan and Friends: A Pop Star Christmas
Dwan (Finding Neverland, The Honeymooners) shares the stage with an ensemble of young Broadway actors, including Jessica Vosk (Wicked), Matt Doyle (A Clockwork Orange), Tamika Lawrence (Come From Away), John Riddle (Disney’s Frozen), and Hannah Corneau (Hedwig and the Angry Inch), performing new arrangements of holiday classics inspired by their favorite pop icons—from Justin Bieber and Britney Spears to Lady Gaga and Josh Groban. 9:30 PM
December 12: Christine Pedi: Snow Bizness

December 14: Robert Creighton: Holiday Happy!
The star of the Off-Broadway musical Cagney who is scheduled to appear in Disney’s upcoming Broadway musical Frozen, performs a holiday concert with his young Frozen co-stars Audrey Bennett, Mattea Conforti, Brooklyn Nelson, and Ayla Schwartz, who will share the roles of young Anna and Elsa. 7 PM
