Will Chase will be the new Chris in the Broadway production on Miss Saigon. He's scheduled to replace Matt Bogart in the role July 20. Chase comes from the national tour of Miss Saigon. His theatre credits include a stint in the Broadway production of Rent and the Chicago productions of Assassins, Mame, and Do Black Patent Leather Shoes... For his work in the Windy City, he has been nominated for two Joseph Jefferson Awards.

The current stars of Miss Saigon are Luoyong Wang as The Engineer, Deedee Lynn Magno as Kim, Leonard Joseph as John, Juan P. Pinedo as Thuy, and Anastasia Barzee as Ellen. On June 18, Miss Saigon joined the ranks of such other long-distance performers as 42nd Street and A Chorus Line by playing its 3,000th performance.

The Boublil/Schonberg musical celebrated its seventh anniversary at the Broadway Theater April 11. It is the ninth longest running musical in Broadway history. Other currently-running members of the 3,000-plus club are Les Miserables, Cats, and The Phantom of the Opera.
