News   Will Neuwirth and Reiser Star in Woody Allen's Writer's Block? Bebe Neuwirth, Richard Portnow and Paul Reiser are names mentioned in The New York Post to star in the world premiere of two one-acts written and directed by Woody Allen for the Atlantic Theater Company this spring.

A spokesperson for the Off-Broadway not-for-profit told Playbill On-Line no casting has been confirmed for the run of Writer's Block, which begins April 23 and represents the theatrical directorial debut of Academy Award-winner Allen, known for his acting, plays, screenplays and film directing.

Under the title Writer's Block, the evening is made up of two one-acts, New York and New Milford, according to the Atlantic Theater Company website (www.atlantictheater.org).

Casting for Writer's Block is by Juliet Taylor, Allen’s longtime collaborator.  Scenic design is by Santo Loquasto.

Neuwirth appeared in Broadway revivals of Chicago, Damn Yankees and Sweet Charity. Reiser is best known as a comedian who starred in the TV series "Mad About You." Portnow is a film, TV and stage actor.

Opening is May 15 at Atlantic Theater Company, 336 W. 20th Street, between Eighth and Ninth Avenues, in Manhattan. Writer's Block plays 8 PM Tuesday Sunday, 2 PM Saturday and 3 PM Sunday.
