"I want to take a break from television," Morrison told WENN. "It's a grueling schedule, and my heart has always been on stage. I realize that even more so now. Because of this long show, I haven't been able to get back on stage. I would probably do a serious, dramatic turn in a play. I've been talking to some people over there about doing a Tennessee Williams play so here's hoping."

As previously reported, "Glee" will not continue beyond a sixth season.

Morrison, who was Tony-nominated for his performance in The Light in the Piazza, has also been seen on Broadway in Footloose, The Rocky Horror Show, Hairspray, A Naked Girl on the Appian Way and South Pacific.
