News Williamstown Presents New Free Musical Wing It The Williamstown Theatre Festival will present the new musical Wing It July 9-15.

Inspired by Aristophanes' The Birds, book and lyrics for Wing It are by Gordon Cox. Music is by Kris Kukul. Wing It is conceived and directed by Suzanne Agins, artistic associate for the Williamstown Theatre Festival.

According to press notes, "Wing It is a rollicking musical comedy about two guys who decide to chuck the daily grind to go live with the birds. But achieving the dream isn't so simple; our heroes must win over the Queen of the Birds, defeat her scheming vizier -- and defend the new Cloudcuckookingdom from the plagues of humanity itself!"

Wing It will be presented by Williamstown's non-Equity company. The cast includes Jordan Barbour, Barnett Cohen, Rama Mitchell, Brooke Parks, Kate Roberts and Sarah Townsend Turner.

Wing It is presented for free to audiences as part of Williamstown's Free Theatre. The program is designed to give back to the local community who supports the Festival each summer. Wing It is a family-friendly musical for all ages.
