News Williamstown Theatre Festival to Salute Tom Stoppard Nov. 13 The Williamstown Theatre Festival will salute playwright Tom Stoppard at a Nov. 13 gala in New York to benefit the festival.

The Williamstown Theatre Festival has produced many of Stoppard's works including On the Razzle, Travesties and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. The festival is run by Roger Rees, who created the role of Henry in the West End premiere of Stoppard’s The Real Thing and the role of Kerner in the West End premiere of his Hapgood.

Stoppard's trilogy, The Coast of Utopia, will begin performances at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre on Broadway in October.

The gala will be held at the Puck Building in New York City. The evening includes a reception with the gala's many guests and performers, dinner, musical entertainment, silent auction and the tribute to Stoppard.

Performers will include Catherine Brunell, Kate Burton, Matt Cavenaugh, Nikki Renée Daniels, Malcolm Gets, Faith Prince and Bill Irwin.
