"After such a horrible hurricane season, I think we could all use a good laugh and the Jewtopia family is ready to deliver," said producer Bill Franzblau in a release. "Electricity and phone lines were only just restored to the theatre earlier this week. Most of the damages to the theatre have been cosmetic, so we're bringing in a crew of Jewish mothers to come in, straighten up, wipe the water off of the slip-covers and ready the house for company on the 9th."
Jewtopia follows the story of two single guys — a Jew and a gentile — on the verge of turning 30 who are obsessed with dating women of the other's religion. The two devise a plan to help both their causes — the Jewish man's quest to make his family happy and the gentile's mission to find a Jewish girl so he never needs to make another decision.
