Patrick Wilson, Marc Kudisch and Lauren Kennedy will take part in a reading of Allegro on Aug. 6.

Kennedy's official website reveals that the three Broadway stars will be part of the reading of the short-lived Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, which debuted on Broadway in 1947. Although Allegro ran only 315 performances, the R&H score included such tunes as "So Far," "The Gentleman Is a Dope" and "A Fellow Needs a Girl." The original production boasted direction and choreography by Agnes De Mille.

Patrick Wilson currently stars as Curly in the hit revival of Oklahoma! at the Gershwin Theatre. A two-time Tony Award nominee for his work in Oklahoma! and The Full Monty, Wilson has also starred on the New York stage in Gershwins' Fascinating Rhythm; Bright Lights, Big City and the City Center Encores! production of Tenderloin. Regionally, he has appeared in Sweet Bird of Youth, Ciderhouse Rules, Romeo and Juliet: The Musical and Lucky in the Rain. Wilson is currently filming "Angels in America" for HBO.

Marc Kudisch received a Tony nomination this past season for his work as Trevor Graydon in the Tony-winning musical Thoroughly Modern Millie. His other Broadway credits include Bells Are Ringing, The Wild Party, The Scarlet Pimpernel, High Society, Beauty and the Beast and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Kudisch played Conrad Birdie in the TV production of "Bye, Bye Birdie" and was also seen on the small screen in an episode of "Sex and the City."

Lauren Kennedy starred on The Great White Way in Sunset Boulevard and Side Show and recently made her West End debut in the acclaimed revival of South Pacific. She also starred in the New York City Opera production of Cinderella and has performed in regional theatres throughout the country. Kennedy is currently working on a solo CD featuring the songs of Jason Robert Brown. —By Andrew Gans
