The John Drew Theater will host The Hamptons Cabaret Convention: The Festival of American Popular Song Aug. 19-22. Presented by the Mabel Mercer Foundation and Guild Hall, each evening will feature twelve different performers; show time is 8 PM. In a statement, the Mabel Mercer Foundation's Executive Director, Donald Smith, said, "It's nice to be invited back. Indeed, American Cabaret is alive and growing in the Hamptons."

The convention kicks off Aug. 19 with performances by Klea Blackhurst, Joyce Breach, Barbara Brussell, Dina Joy Byrd, Eric Comstock, Spencer Day, Barbara Fasano, Jeff Harnar, Ray Jessell, Sylvia McNair, Marlene VerPlanck and Larry Woodard. Cabaret legend Julie Wilson be part of the Aug. 20 evening, which will also spotlight the talents of Anna Bergman, Mary Foster Conklin, John DePalma, Baby Jane Dexter, Lynn DiMenna, Natalie Douglas, Valerie Lemon, Georga Osborne, Craig Rubano and Ronny White. On Aug. 21 audiences will enjoy the work of Barbara Carroll, Angela LaGrecca, Heather MacRae, Sally Mayes, Jaymie Meyer, Tom Michael, Sidney Myer, Jan Peters, Johnny Rodgers, Barbara Rosene and David Staller. The convention concludes Aug. 22 with Lisa Asher, Philip Chaffin, Kent French, Eric Michael Gillette, Colleen McHugh, Phillip Officer, Jeanne Resua, Julie Reyburn, Karen Saunders and Lumiri Tubo.

Tickets for the convention are priced $100 (prime orchestra seating plus garden reception with the artists), $75 (box seats) and $40 (remainder of orchestra and balcony). All tickets are available through the John Drew Theater box office beginning May 28; (631) 324-4050.
