CHICAGO--Site-specific shows are making headway in the Windy City. First there was Eleven Rooms of Proust, About Face Theatre Collective's exploration of Proust set in a North Side mansion in Berger Park which closed May 10. Now ,Here at the End of the Century, the latest venture from Blue Star Performance Company, offers a "promenade" piece inspired by its location, a 1910 mansion on Sheridan Road. This creation by Amy Ludwig and Julie Dubiner follows two sisters as they explore their house-- now the Lakeside Cultural Center--and attempt to reconstruct their past. Audiences for the environmental show, which opens May 24, are limited to 15 per performance. -- By Lawrence Bommer
