News   Wingert, Bowers and Hagen Set for Guthrie's Boston Marriage Casting has been announced for the Guthrie Theater's upcoming mounting of David Mamet's comedy of manners, Boston Marriage.

Sally Wingert, Nadia Bowers and Summer Hagen will star in the production, which plays the Guthrie Lab, Jan. 31-Feb. 22. Directed by Douglas Mercer, the official opening night is scheduled for Feb. 4. Set in the drawing room of a nineteenth-century Boston home, the play concerns three women, Anna, Claire and Catherine. According to production notes, "Anna and Claire are two bantering, scheming ladies of fashion who have long lived together on the fringes of upper-class society. Anna has just become the mistress of a wealthy man, from whom she has received an enormous emerald and an income to match. Claire, meanwhile, is infatuated with a respectable young lady and wants to enlist the jealous Anna's help for an assignation. As the two women exchange barbs and take turns taunting Catherine, Anna's hapless parlor maid, Claire's young inamorata suddenly appears, setting off a crisis that puts the valuable emerald at risk and threatens the women's future." Kate Burton, Martha Plimpton and Arden Myrin co-starred in the play's Off-Broadway mounting.

Sally Wingert has appeared in the Guthrie productions of Pride and Prejudice, Top Girls and Six Degrees of Separation.
