As previously reported, the winner was chosen from over 540 video submissions; Oyen will join a host of Broadway artists at Alan’s April 30 Birdland concert and will perform a new, original song written just for him by the composer.

Those joining Oyen on the "Live" album include Stephanie J. Block, Sierra Boggess, Marc Broussard, Liz Callaway, Ann Hampton Callaway, Louise Dearman, Kerry Ellis, Richard Fleeshman, Hadley Fraser, RJ Helton, Christopher Jackson, Jeremy Jordan, Ramin Karimloo, Mykal Kilgore, Caissie Levy, Jane Monheit, Laura Osnes, Lea Salonga, Melissa van der Schyff, Oliver Tompsett, Willemijn Verkaik, Natalie Weiss and Raena White.

A majority of the album, which will be produced by the composer and StylesFour Productions, will be recorded live at Alan's already sold-out Birdland concert April 30 at 7 PM. The recording will feature musical direction, arrangements and orchestrations by Jesse Vargas. Due to Monday-night Broadway schedules, some talent will record their tracks prior to the 7 PM concert.

Because the 7 PM concert is already sold out, Birdland has added a 3 PM "Behind the Scenes" concert, which will also serve as a sound check for the performers and the musicians. Due to performance schedules, not all performers will be on hand for the afternoon concert; audiences should also expect retakes and stops during the concert. Tickets are $25 for the 3 PM concert; no drinks or food will be served. There is also no age requirement. Doors will open at 2:30 PM for general seating. To purchase tickets, call (212) 581-3080 or visit http://www.birdlandjazz.com/event/104359. *

Alan's show with playwright Christy Hall, Home, is aiming for a Broadway debut in the fall. Home is being produced by StylesFour Productions, whose credits also include Once, Spring Awakening and Driving Miss Daisy.
