Nick Fradiani, 29, from Guilford, CT, emerged as America’s choice.
Fradiani capped his coronation on the finale by singing “Beautiful Life,” which is available for download on americanidol.com and iTunes.
The broadcast from The Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, CA, featured performances by the reunited Top 12 finalists, as well as Echosmith, Fall Out Boy, Jamie Foxx, Andy Grammer, The Jacksons, Vance Joy, Ricky Martin, Michael McDonald, Janelle Monae, New Kids on The Block, Pitbull, Nile Rodgers, Prince Royce, Chris Brown, Steven Tyler, and "Idol" judge Keith Urban, along with fellow judges Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick, Jr.
Fradiani is the 14th finalist to win the "American Idol" title and joins past winners Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks, Jordin Sparks, David Cook, Kris Allen, Lee DeWyze, Scott McCreery, Phillip Phillips, Candace Glover and Caleb Johnson.
