Wit celebrates its first anniversary at the Union Square Theatre Dec. 18. The MCC Theatre/Long Wharf/Daryl Roth production came to Union Square after its original sold-out run in New York. A national tour of Wit starts at Boston's Wilbur Theatre in February 2000 starring Judith Light; beginning Jan. 4, Lisa Harrow will assume the role of Dr. Vivian Bearing at Union Square.

The Off-Broadway production currently stars Judith Light as Dr. Vivian Bearing, the professor of poetry struggling to survive cancer and chemotherapy while having to face her own mortality.

Derek Anson Jones directs the production.
