News With Potential for Sold-Out Run, Box Office for Betrayal, With Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz and Rafe Spall, Will Open Early Due to strong ticket demand, producers of the Broadway revival of Betrayal, starring Daniel Craig, Academy Award winner Rachel Weisz and Olivier nominee Rafe Spall, have announced that the Ethel Barrymore Theatre box office will open July 29 for a limited time. Tickets have been available online and via telephone since July 12.

Online and telephone ticket sales have been so strong that producers state the production's limited 14-week engagement could be sold out by the time of the originally scheduled box office opening date of Sept. 3.

The Barrymore box office will now open for a limited time from July 29-Aug. 3 from 10 AM to 8 PM daily, and Aug. 4 from noon to 6 PM. The box office will then reopen Sept. 3 as scheduled.

Tony Award-winning producer Scott Rudin (The Book of Mormon, The Testament of Mary, Death of a Salesman) is bringing the new staging to Broadway under the direction of Tony and Academy Award-winning director Mike Nichols (Death of a Salesman, Spamalot, The Real Thing). Authored by late playwright Harold Pinter, Betrayal will begin previews Oct. 1 towards an Oct. 27 opening night at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre.

Betrayal will play through Jan. 5, 2014.

Real-life couple Weisz and Craig will portray on-stage married couple Emma and Robert, respectively. Spall will portray Jerry, Robert's best friend.  According to producers, "Emma (Weisz) is married to Robert (Craig), a publisher, but she has long had an affair with Jerry (Spall), a literary agent and Robert's best friend; as, in a brilliant device, time is regained, so the full complexity of their relationships comes to light."

Betrayal will have scenic design by Ian MacNeil, costume design by Ann Roth, lighting design by Brian MacDevitt and sound design by Scott Lehrer. James Murphy of LCD Sound System will compose original music for the play.

Craig ("Skyfall," "GoldenEye," "Casino Royale," "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo") last appeared on Broadway in A Steady Rain. Betrayal marks Weisz's Broadway debut. Her films include "Oz the Great and Powerful," "The Bourne Legacy," "The Constant Gardener" and "The Shape of Things."

Spall recently appeared in "Prometheus" and "Life of Pi." He received an Olivier nomination for Constellations. The production marks Spall's Broadway debut.

Pinter's 1978 drama travels in reverse dramatic order as it explores a hidden love affair. It premiered on Broadway in 1979 with Blythe Danner, Raul Julia and Roy Scheider. A 2000 revival featured Juliette Binoche, Liev Schreiber and John Slattery.
