Broadway Across America, Beth Williams, Howard & Janet Kagan and Barry Brown are producing the musical that was announced to run July 28-Aug. 18 at Boston's Colonial Theatre prior to a New York bow, though a Broadway target date was never revealed.

Future plans for the production will be announced at a later date, according to an April 11 release from the producers.

Tony Award-winning Book of Mormon director-choreographer Casey Nicholaw is attached to stage the musical about a young girl who befriends a unique family that has gained eternal life by drinking from a spring that flows from a tree in the woods. Rob Berman is musical director.

Tuck Everlasting has a score by Burnt Part Boys songwriters Chris Miller (music) and Nathan Tysen (lyrics) and a book by Tony Award-nominated playwright Claudia Shear (Dirty Blonde).

The cast was to feature Tony Award nominee Carolee Carmello (Parade, Scandalous) as Ma Tuck, Newsies star Andrew Keenan-Bolger as Jesse Tuck, Annie cast member Sadie Sink as Winnie, Emmy winner Michael Park (How To Succeed…, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof) as Pa Tuck, Fred Applegate (Sister Act) as Constable Joe, Marylouise Burke (Fuddy Meers) as Nana, David Garrison (Titanic) as The Man In The Yellow Suit, Michael Wartella (The Kid) as Hugo and Valerie Wright (Elf) as Mother. Much of the cast has been involved in workshops of Tuck Everlasting in the past several years.

The production has set design by Walt Spangler, costume design by two-time Tony Award winner Gregg Barnes, sound design by Tony Award winner Brian Ronan and orchestrations by Danny Troob.
