News WNYC to Broadcast Part of Wall to Wall Sondheim Live Four hours of the upcoming Wall to Wall Sondheim celebration at Symphony Space will be broadcast live on WNYC Radio.

WNYC Radio's "The Jonathan Schwartz Show" will broadcast Schwartz's interview with Stephen Sondheim March 19 from noon-4 PM ET. Schwartz's program will also feature chats with two of Sondheim's long-time collaborators, James Lapine and John Weidman.

The four-hour broadcast will also include a conversation with record producer Thomas Z. Shepard as well as selections from A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum performed by Michael Arden, Jonathan Hadary and Sheldon Harnick. Karen Akers, Kate Baldwin, Liz Callaway, Marsha Perry Starkes and K.T. Sullivan will all offer solo performances of Sondheim's works, and the Ying Quartet will perform "Children Will Listen" and "Children and Art," both arranged for the string quartet by The Wild Party's Andrew Lippa.

Over 100 artists are now scheduled to be part of Symphony Space's Wall to Wall Stephen Sondheim salute March 19 at the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre. The 35th Wall to Wall concert is set to begin at 11 AM and will continue for 12 hours at the New York City landmark.
